Sending samples from outside the UK - FROM:
EUROPEAN UNION, ICELAND, LIECHTENSTEIN, NORWAY & SWEDEN
Samples sent to us from within the EUROPEAN UNION and from ICELAND, LIECHTENSTEIN, NORWAY & SWEDEN
If you wish to send us samples from within the countries above, and these are classified as "low risk" (as all blood samples from pet cats not suffering from notifiable or zoonotic diseases should be), then you will need a Commercial document. The full guidance is available online here.
The guidance applies to businesses in Great Britain importing or moving animal by-products (ABP) not intended for human consumption from the EU. The guidance also applies to goods imported for commercial purposes by post or a courier service and includes imports from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Sweden. Please check with your preferred courier to ensure that they are able to carry out such transport or if they will apply any restrictions or special conditions.
